From decaying mountains (Rev 21:1), I watch the end begin. Behind me, civilization is burning. In front of me, I watch the grass and branches move in the wind. Knowing the time will come soon when I will have to stand up from this height, take up my sword and shield anew (Eph 6:10-17), and enter the fire. There remains a mission (Mark 16:15)... The mere thought exhausts me, but unlike the last time I was here, my armor is not rusted. the decay is not my only companion, for the decay cannot substitute the divinity. I drank of the pagan fountains and was left dehydrated. This time, I will drink of heaven's fountain (John 4:13-14), and I will fight alongside thousands of armies of the non-fallen. I slumber in You, Christ (Ex 33:14). When I wake up, help me to fight.

FlyRavenHome was born as a secular project in 2011-2012, somewhere around there. I never ended up recording anything for it. I forget what the idea was, but something like black/doom/folk. Brought it back in 2023, reborn as a Christian project. The "pine tree" symbol was given to me by God, and it's meant to stand against nature worship / paganism / nature-oriented new age beliefs / etc. It was also used on the Psychedelic Church debut "Acceptance of the Holy Trinity".

Conceptually/lyrically, the idea is basically to "evangelize to my old self", as most of my music is. I know there are others like me out there somewhere... I fear that only ONE OF US can properly minister to the others like ourselves. Others "speak a different language". Musically, the idea is to synthesize music and atmosphere. I don't want to create music inspired by ideas; i want it to directly **portray** them. To be just as much "atmosphere" as it is "music". This has always been very important to me, and very few bands do it "right", in my opinion. Not saying I do it right either, but that's why this is a demo.
